FHTL – Conducted Small Operation and Maintenance to Water System in Liquiçá Municipality

Fundaçaõ Hafoun Timor Lorosa'e-FHTL through its partnership with WaterAid Timor-Leste conducted small operations and maintenance to 18 clean water systems in Liquiçá municipality aiming to support the local community having adequate access to water

These works were conducted after completing community meetings on the Community Action Plan (PAK) to oversee the functionality of water user group and fund contribution to the operation and maintenance of water system, that contributed monthly by each household.

Through the mentioned mechanism, the process of identifying the water systems that have regular community fund contributions. FHTL and its partners can only provide technical support in O&M to water systems that have its O&M fund. The principal objective of this technical support is to help the community have sustainable and inclusive access to clean water.
